Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a physical gathering of Commencement exercises in the Tabernacle on Temple Square will not be permitted. However, a limited broadcast will be streamed from the Church’s website on April 10 at 10 a.m.
While this represents a major change in not being able to gather together for the ceremony, all graduates and their families are invited and encouraged to participate by watching the broadcast together.
A link to view the broadcast of the Commencement exercises will be posted on the homepage of the LDS Business College website on Thursday, April 9. An email will also be sent to graduates containing the link, which can then be forwarded to loved ones for viewing.
Vice President of Academics, Timothy Sloan, will present the graduates before President Kusch confers the degrees.
Remarks will be made by President Kusch, Eliza Petersen – a 2020 graduate – and our special guest speaker Sister Jean B. Bingham, Relief Society General President.
Additionally, diplomas, programs, tassels and a small gift will be mailed to each graduate and those 2020 graduates who still wish to participate in Commencement exercises will be eligible to walk in 2021.
