As we partner with CES school BYU-Hawaii, we are able to use online software to simulate the reality of a career fair online. Events are live and have virtual booths that students can approach and discuss interest in job opportunities without having to travel.
Students can participate using any device with an internet connection. When students approach various booths to talk with recruiters, the screen splits and the student is able to view the timed chat box and information about the company. The recruiter will view the chat box and information about the student, as seen on their LinkedIn account.
Are you interested?
The best way to prepare is to have your resume ready, perhaps in multiple languages. Also, Prepare a list of questions and comments you have for recruiters so you can easily copy and paste them into the chat box (in multiple languages). You may want to practice timed, mock interviews. Lastly, don’t forget to invite your friends!
There are multiple different virtual career fairs for each region of the world. Make sure you register in time to attend and get accustomed to the software beforehand. Below is the schedule.
