How Do I Form an Extracurricular Association?
- Find a few friends (at least 6) who want to join your new association.
- Submit an online application.
- Meet with the Manager of Student Engagement to review your application.
- Once approved, we will help you start promoting your association.
- Extend and enhance the learning experience
- Improve professional opportunities
- Provide a forum for dialogue and mentoring among faculty members, students, and professionals in the discipline
- Provide leadership opportunities
- Provide networking for students with similar professional or academic interests
Toggle ItemAmerican Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)AAPC offers certification exams for medical coders with continued education. Students in the Medical Coding program are encouraged to join after they have completed their courses so they can take their certification exam, network with medical coders in the area, and attend chapter meetings for continued education credits.

Toggle ItemCybersecurity ClubThe Ensign College Cybersecurity Club exists to help students become more aware and involved in cybersecurity in a world of growing technology. We learn together by working on hands-on labs, participating in competitive events, and collaborating on personal projects, all to encourage and prepare students for real-world scenarios dealing with information security.
The club offers many opportunities for leadership and community involvement, including technology conferences and meetups, collaborating with other schools, and promoting good cybersecurity practices everywhere.

Joining the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) provides an excellent resource for business and accounting students; it opens up opportunities for information, networking, internships, and scholarships.
To become a member of IMA, students must sign up online with the IMA, making you a member of not only the Ensign Chapter but also a global organization of professionals and students. If you are interested in becoming a member or officer, please email email@example.com.
You may be eligible as a member of IMA for scholarships that the organization sponsors.
As an IMA Chapter, we meet regularly with top professionals in the fields. The connections you make as a member of IMA will help you start your career and provide valuable relationships as your career develops.

Toggle ItemProfessional Business ClubThe Ensign College Professional Business Club provides students with a myriad of valuable leadership and professional skills to help them succeed in their future careers.
Since its inception in 2014, Business Club participants have earned yearly awards and recognitions, including winning the community service award each year. Two of Utah's three State DECA Officers came from Ensign College in 2020 and 2021.
The Ensign Professional Business Club helps connect students to industry professionals and organizations, including:
- SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management)
- PMI (Project Management Institute)
- ISM (Institute for Supply Management)
Ensign College also hosts chapters for career and technical student organizations DECA and PBL (the collegiate division of Future Business Leaders of America), with more student chapters to come.
