Ensign College has updated its COVID-19 protocols regarding mask wearing on campus to reflect updated guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the State of Utah, and to be in alignment with protocol being followed at the Church Office Building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Effective immediately, students, employees and visitors who have been fully vaccinated will no longer be required to wear a mask or social distance while on campus at Ensign College.
However, masks are still encouraged for those who are not vaccinated when social distancing is not feasible. Individuals may also choose to wear a mask in any setting. We invite all who come to campus to continue to support and lift one another through responsible, considerate behaviors and attitudes. This includes, but is not limited to, choosing to stay home if exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, or any other communicable disease.
Employees will not be required to receive a vaccination to work on campus. Similarly, students will not need to provide proof of vaccination to attend classes or receive other services on campus. However, students may be required to provide proof of vaccination for attendance at select campus events.
Individuals who contract COVID-19 are still expected to quarantine until cleared by their healthcare provider. Students who contract COVID-19 will need to contact their individual teachers to establish a plan for maintaining progress in each of their courses.
These guidelines are subject to change based upon local COVID-19 conditions, public health orders and/or guidance received from Ensign College’s Board of Trustees.
