Jodi Chowen serves as the Vice President of Student Experience and Retention at Ensign College, where she supports holistic student services and student success. She earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University in which she studied college student thriving. Prior to her tenure at Ensign College, Jodi oversaw Career Services, Academic Internships, and Experiential Learning at BYU. She has taught student development and religion classes for several years, and she is a certified Gallup Strengths coach. During her tenure at BYU-Hawaii, she focused on helping international students prepare for and find employment opportunities in their home areas. Jodi enjoys building strong relationships with students, colleagues, alumni, and industry leaders to create thriving environments. As a first-generation college student, Jodi has a personal appreciation for the door-opening opportunities a college education provides.

Jodi is married to Dr. Brent Chowen, and together they have 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
