Ensign College offers four streamlined degrees: Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS), Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Applied Science (AAS), and Certificates. Whether your priority is getting the skills for a good job so you can transfer and continue your education, or building a comprehensive skill set to start your career immediately, we have a solution to get you there. Learn more about your choices below.

    Have you already completed your associate's degree, or other applicable coursework that can be applied toward a bachelor's degree? These skills will help you obtain entry-level work in your field as you continue your 4-year degree. The BAS degree emphasizes specialized skills over general education so you’ll graduate ready to advance quickly in your career.
  • Ensign College
    A skills-based, transferable degree to qualify you for a good job while continuing toward a bachelor's. You’ll start by choosing one or two certificates, combined with general education courses, to create your AS degree.

    Choose from our skills-based, non-transferable degrees with set curriculums (no certificates). These AAS degrees are designed to prepare you for an entry-level position in that specific field, with no further education required to succeed.

    Already have a 2- or 4-year degree, but you’re looking to move up in your career or break into a new field? You can complete a stand-alone certificate in as little as two semesters. It’s the fastest route to gaining the in-demand skills employers want.

Continuing Students: Continue your AAS or AS, or switch to BAS?*
Continuing students currently pursuing AAS or AS degrees have the option to switch to Ensign College’s BAS degrees. This decision will depend on a variety of factors, including how far into your program you are, your financial aid and international status, and what your goals are after graduation.

All continuing students are encouraged to set an appointment with their success advisors as soon as possible to determine which degree option is best for their situation. You can contact your advisor by emailing studentsuccesscenter@ensign.edu or calling 801-524-8151.

Note: Ensign College complies with all regulatory, accreditation, and contractual requirements associated with disclosures about the College’s education programs leading to licensure or certification. The College currently does not have any academic programs that require licensure or certification to work in the state of Utah. If programs are regulated by other states, the College will make reasonable efforts to monitor and provide licensing information or state licensing contact information to students, as required.
