LDSBC hosts Women to Women luncheon for single parents

On Thursday, LDS Business College paired with the Women to Women Foundation to hold a mentoring luncheon for single parents attending the College. This gave female students a moment to know they are not alone, and that they are loved and supported. As they ate their lunch, special guest speaker Josh Pack spoke some uplifting words.

Pack suffered a swimming accident at the age of 18 that left him paraplegic. His message was one of encouragement and always trying to find good in life. Pack spoke of perseverance as he’s worked on recovery as well as finishing his education at the top of his class.

He also talked about speaking publicly to groups such as the Women to Women Foundation group in front of him. It was initially difficult for Pack to accept such invitations, but he’s learned that he can be a blessing in the lives of those he’s around by sharing his story.

Following Pack’s remarks, the students in attendance were given a gift bag.
