3 principles for success

Elder Dube also counseled students to keep three principles of intelligence, discernment, and unity in mind. Doing so would help them succeed in business and life. He explained each principle as follows.

1. Intelligence. When we think of intelligence, we tend to think about being very skilled at something, said Elder Dube. But intelligence means applying the knowledge we obtain in righteousness, he explained. He also emphasized that as we learn line by line, scripture study should become a key factor. It will help us see how we need to apply our understanding.

2. Discernment. God wants us to understand with spiritual eyes, said Elder Dube. Good discernment helps us see the good in someone else. It helps us understand with spiritual eyes.

3. Unity. Elder Dube shared a favorite scripture: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). As Christ showed his love by coming to earth to sacrifice himself for each of us, Elder Dube invited the audience to show unity by showing love for each other.

Elder Dube encouraged students to look closely at the three principles and seek understanding. Then, with all thy getting, get understanding of intelligence, in discernment, and in unity, he concluded. You will find success.
