BC Receives five Best of State awards

The Best of State recognition was created to recognize outstanding individuals, organizations and businesses in Utah and to inspire them to reach their dreams and goals.

Awards were given in 11 categories at a gala ceremony hosting 1,500 people. Three out of the five awards were given to BC student Mauricio Kiyama, professor Scott Newman, and administrator Adrian Juchau.

Mauricio Kiyama is a business student who just graduated. He maintained a 4.0 GPA and initiated the Live with Honor program at LDSBC.

Scott Newman, Director of Faculty Development and business program director, has provided more than 50 comprehensive projects from companies in Utah and abroad providing valuable experience to students.

Adrian Juchau, Chief Student Services Officer, developed new classes, committees, opportunities and initiatives to help everyone learn, grow, and succeed.
