We congratulate JilliAnne Jensen, Daniel Carter and Lavinia Ander for applying the skills-based education they've received at LDSBC in order to earn this award.
Diligent preparation was required as they practiced for their hospitality events. "I was very pleased to learn that JilliAnne Jensen, competing with students nationwide, earned the top exam score for the event," said Brent Andrus, LDSBC DECA advisor.
Even though the College doesn't offer a hospitality degree now, all three of our students scored high enough to receive the certification.
After the three LDSBC students excelled in their tests at the DECA ICDC, hosted in Anaheim, California, in April 2017, the certificates were presented to them here at the College on August 10, 2017.
The certification they received is well-known worldwide as the lodging industry's highest acknowledgment for guest service.
