Program Overview

The Social Media Marketing program will prepare you from day one to be a valued asset to any company. Gain expertise in various aspects of social media marketing, such as social media analytics, advertising, content creation, and more.

This certificate is one of the foundational certificates for the Business Management and Communication bachelor’s and associate of applied science degrees.

Social Media Marketing is available as a stand-alone certificate, or you can add general education courses to receive a fully transferrable associate of science (AS) degree.

You can also choose to get an associate of applied science degree (AAS). This path includes fewer general education courses than the AS and more program-specific courses. The AAS isn't designed to transfer to other schools; it prepares you to get to work right after graduation.

As a project management specialist, you will coordinate every aspect of a project, ensuring it stays within budget and schedule. You’ll communicate with clients to establish project goals, create detailed plans, and select vendors or consultants. Throughout the project lifecycle, you’ll assign tasks, monitor progress, and resolve issues. You’ll oversee diverse projects, from constructing commercial centers to expanding sales. Collaborating with experts in various fields, you’ll ensure projects meet objectives and are completed successfully, handling everything from planning to final documentation. Public Relations Specialist 

As a public relations specialist, you’ll shape positive public perception for individuals, groups, or organizations by writing press releases, managing media inquiries, and crafting social media strategies. You’ll facilitate effective communication with the public, arrange executive interviews, and assess public opinion through social media. You’ll also ensure consistency between advertising efforts and the organization's image. In this career, you’ll initiate media coverage through press releases, adapt them for social media, and monitor and respond to social media interactions. Average salary in the US as of May 2022: $67,440 ( BLS )

Market Research Analyst 

As a market research analyst, you’ll delve deep into consumer behavior and market dynamics, supporting companies in understanding product demand and competitive landscapes. You’ll monitor marketing trends, assess campaign effectiveness, and devise data collection methods. Gathering insights through surveys, interviews, and polls, you’ll understand consumer preferences and competitor strategies. Using statistical software, you’ll analyze data and craft comprehensive reports, guiding companies in strategic decision-making. Average salary in the US as of May 2022: $68,230 ( BLS )
