First-Generation Scholarship

Who Should Apply


This scholarship is available to incoming first-generation domestic college students. It is designed to support and empower students who will be the first in their families to attend college. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by first-generation students, this scholarship aims to break down barriers and provide additional assistance in navigating the college experience.

A first-generation college student is anyone whose parents and/or guardians have not yet graduated with a college degree in the U.S.

Students must meet all other applicable eligibility requirements mentioned in the Ensign College Scholarship Policy.

Award Amount

$1,001 for the first semester they are enrolled at Ensign College. Renewable for a second (consecutive) semester at $1,001 if the student meets scholarship eligibility requirements.

Duration

Two consecutive semesters (Spring is optional).

Priority Deadline*

1 April (Spring), 15 August (Fall), and 1 December (Winter)

*Priority will be given to those who meet the deadline. However, the application is open until Friday of the first week of school. If funding is available, students who apply after the priority deadline may still receive the scholarship.

Required Enrollment

Full-time (12+ Credits).
