Celebrate Our 5-Year Anniversary at a Public Open House

Ensign College Building

Students Take Center Stage in Ensign College’s 5-Year Anniversary Celebration

Ensign College, operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is celebrating the five-year anniversary of its transition from LDS Business College to Ensign College. An open house will be held on Friday, September 26, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the downtown Salt Lake campus, featuring tours of the building with a brief program at 3:00 p.m.

Building on a 134-year legacy as LDS Business College, the institution became Ensign College in September 2020, introducing bachelor’s degree options and expanded online access for students around the world. Since then, enrollment has grown from 2,500 at the SLC campus to more than 19,000 students on campus and online.

Visitors at the open house will experience how the College has “brought the classroom into the hallway,” with expansive visual displays featuring students’ voices, images, and accomplishments, alongside inspiring new institutional messaging. On the third floor, guests will also be treated to a stunning sacred art gallery, where many renowned artists have generously licensed their work for large-scale reproduction.

“What matters most is how the changes that came about in 2020 have blessed the lives of our students,” said President Bruce C. Kusch. “We’ve watched learners from across the globe discover hope, gain practical skills, and deepen their faith here. Their success is what this celebration is all about.”

The event is open to all. Complimentary parking is available at the west lot on North Temple and 400 West.
