Annual Security Report
The College publishes an annual security report (Clery Report), which contains important information about campus security and personal safety. This includes recent crime statistics occurring on the College’s campus, policy statements, and emergency evacuation procedures. Paper copies of this report can be made available upon request to Clery Coordinator David Brooksby, at dbrooksby@ensign.edu or (801) 524-8157.
Campus Security Authorities
In accordance with federal law, 34 C.F.R. § 668.46, Ensign College designates each of the following individuals on campus as being a campus security authority (CSA):
- Any employee or independent contractor of the Church Security Department.
- Any individual who has responsibility for campus security, such as an individual who is responsible for monitoring entrance into institutional property.
- Any individual or organization specified in the most recent year’s Annual Security Report as someone to whom students and employees should report criminal offenses.
- An official of an institution who has significant responsibility for student and campus activities, including, but not limited to, student housing, student discipline, and campus judicial proceedings. (Note: If such an official is a pastoral or professional counselor as defined in 34 C.F.R. § 668.46, the official is not considered a campus security authority when acting as a pastoral or professional counselor.)
Each CSA must complete annual training, which is scheduled with the Clery Coordinator.
CSAs may submit information they receive regarding crimes occurring in the college’s Clery Geography by either contacting the Church Security Department, the Clery Coordinator, or using this Report Form .
