Introducing Stackable Scholarships, Referral Scholarships, and More!

The scholarship landscape at Ensign College has been dramatically upgraded for Fall 2025. Find out how you can attend for less!

Stackable Scholarships for Fall 2025

To make the high-quality Ensign College experience even more accessible financially, scholarship and financial aid limitations have been removed for Fall 2025. You can now use every scholarship for which you qualify – up to 100% of tuition costs (or up to 120% of tuition with the Stella Harris Oaks Single Parent Scholarship).

You can receive cash refunds for Pell Grants and external scholarships!

If you stack enough Ensign scholarships to cover 100% of tuition and still have Pell Grants and external scholarships left over, you may opt to have the grants and external scholarships refunded directly to you in U.S. dollars.

Announcing the new Student Referral Scholarship!

To make the high-quality Ensign College experience even more accessible, a new scholarship has been added for Fall 2025.

Students enrolled in the Fall 2025 semester are eligible for a $500 scholarship for each prospective student they refer who enrolls in Ensign College for the Fall 2025 semester and begins classes on September 2nd. These $500 Referral Scholarship awards can be stacked with other Ensign College scholarships up to 100% of tuition. Plus, each referred student will also receive a $500 scholarship!

The referred student must be a new student applying to Ensign College for Fall 2025 and must enroll as a full-time student (12+ credit hours). Each referred student MUST specifically enter the referring student’s Ensign College email on the application form. This is very important!

Scholarship funds will be awarded into student accounts after September 9th (the drop deadline for classes).

Frequently Asked Questions

“Stacking” means that you can use more than one Ensign College Scholarship at a time. Previously, the policy was that only one Ensign College Scholarship could be awarded per semester, and most students paid for at least 50% of tuition with their own money or with outside scholarships and grants. For Fall 2025, however, you may use every scholarship for which you qualify – up to 100% of tuition costs.

Also, previously, Ensign College students receiving the Pathway Connect Scholarship (discounted tuition rate) for graduating from Pathway Connect could not be awarded additional Ensign College scholarships. This is not the case for Fall 2025. Pathway Connect scholarship recipients may also receive the new Referral Scholarship and apply it towards their Fall 2025 discounted tuition.

Yes! You can now stack the Referral Scholarship on top of Pathway Connect discounts!

Yes! Let’s say that for Fall 2025 you are taking courses totaling 12 credits and that the current Pathway rate per enrolled credit is $83. Your tuition for Fall 2025 would be $996.

If you qualify, you may use up to $996 in Ensign College Referral Scholarship funds to bring your total tuition to $0.

For the example below, we’ll assume that you successfully referred two friends to Ensign College for Fall 2025.

Your tuition: $996 (assuming 12 credits)

Referral Scholarship: -$1,000 (2 x $500)

Total tuition owed: $0

Technically, your tuition would be negative $4, but refunds are not given on Ensign College scholarships. See below for an example of refunds of external scholarships and grants.

Certainly! Let’s say you qualify for the following scholarships and financial aid and that your Fall 2025 tuition is $2,000 (may vary by class load).

Your tuition: $2,000

Referral Scholarships: -$1,000 (2 friends x $500 each)

First Generation Scholarship: -$1,000

Pell Grant: -$3,698

Good Samaritan Foundation Scholarship: -$500

Total tuition owed: -$4,198

Your tuition for Fall 2025 comes to a negative $4,198. The Ensign College scholarships are not refundable, but the external scholarships and grants are, so you would be refunded $4,198 in U.S. dollars.

Refunds will be processed automatically. If you have questions, please contact the Cashier’s Office at 801-524-8153 or visit them on campus between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Recipients of the Ensign College single-parent scholarship will have the excess 20% of tuition applied to their accounts to be used to help pay your health plan premium, course content charges, or books and necessary academic supplies purchased at the Outpost.  https://www.ensign.edu/scholarships/single-parent-scholarship Because the Stella Harris Oaks Single Parent Scholarship is not an external scholarship or grant, excess funds will not be refunded directly to the student.

You may refer as many prospective students to Ensign College as you want! Please help all of your friends, neighbors, family members, and associates understand how Ensign College can bless their lives. Each of them will receive the $500 scholarship for Fall 2025. You will also receive $500 for each prospective student who enrolls for Fall 2025 – up to 100% of your tuition. So, if your tuition is $2,000 for Fall 2025 and you do not have any other Ensign College scholarships, you can be awarded up to $2,000 in Referral Scholarship awards (or 4 referred students).

A tuition hold will be applied for Referral Scholarship recipients. You will not be dropped from your classes for non-payment of tuition, and you will not be charged a late fee.
